Return of the Home Run Kid by Matt Christopher

Realistic Fiction
The pitcher throws, CRACK! The ball goes flying,... HOME RUN!!! The crowd goes wild! A kid named Sylvester Coddmyer from Return of the Home Run Kid by Matt Christopher, made this shot. At first, he got a lot of home runs last year. In the 1st part of this year, he kind of messed up. But now he's getting GREAT catches and home runs. My favorite part is when his friend, Joyce, threw her arms around him at the end of a good game. They like each other and even hold hands in movies. They're good friends. It's just,... just.... ROMANCE! Romance rules! I like this part because I love it when romance is in stories. If you're into baseball, READ THIS BOOK! Syl is a home run hero. Hope you like it!

Hardy Boys 50: Danger on Vampire Trail by Franklin W. Dixon

Mystery
"The vampire bat has struck again!" Chet quavered. This looks like another clue for The Hardy Boys by Franklin W. Dixon. One of the exciting parts is when Biff (The Hardy boys friend), kicks and sends a knife flying out of a counterfeiters hands. I like that part because he saves everybody: Joe, Frank, Chet, and himself! If you like mysteries, you should read The Hardy Boys series, especially book 50! Also, I have heard that The Nancy Drew characters SOMETIMES meet up with the Hardy Boys.

Free to Be... You and Me by Carole Hart

"Should, is a small and bossy word. Could, is as big and beautiful as the sky." the author said because all of her niece's books told her what she should be. Not what she could be. My favorite part is a chapter called "Southpaw." It is about two kids texting each other and fighting about baseball. They finally work it out. Another chapter is called "Boy Meets Girl." It is about two babies that talk about if they are a boy or girl. They both want to be a girl, but one says she is a girl and he is a boy.
