The Legend of Jimmy Spoon by Kristiana Gregory

Historical Fiction
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live with American Indians? Jimmy Spoon ran away from home and did just that. My favorite part of the book is where the chief of the Shoshone tribe, Washakie, teaches Jimmy that even though you can say sorry for hurting someone's feelings, it still takes time for that person's feelings to heal. I like this because the chief uses nature to teach how people should treat each other. I recommend this book to everyone who likes adventure stories about real people and American Indians.

Bethany the Ballet Fairy by Daisy Meadows

Fantasy
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be friends with the fairies? Kirsty and Rachel are! Kirsty and Rachel keep it a secret because if they didn't it would be a disaster. My favorite part is where the fairies get their magic ribbons back. I like that part because then there is good dancing all over the world again. Then the goblins go back to Jack Frost and get in trouble. You should read this book if you like fantasy and fairy books.

The Indispensable Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson

Graphic Novel/Comic
This book is ONE book I really liked. One of my favorite parts is when Calvin is just about to jump off the roof with just a bungee cord to keep him safe until his mom climbs a ladder onto the roof. Then he says "Aww, Mom, you act like there was no bungee cord!" If you liked Calvin and Hobbes, then you should read this book.
