Day of the Dragon King by Mary Pope Osborne

Who would burn books? Jack and Annie are on a mission to ancient China to save a special book. My favorite part was when Jack and Annie got chased out of the city by the emperor's soldiers. They get lost in a tomb of 7,000 clay soldiers. How do they get out of the confusing clay soldiers? They were given a yellow ball of silk thread. It mysteriously unravels. That's how they get out. I would recommend this book who likes ADVENTURE.

Stories of Dragons by Gillyan Doherty

Folk Tales
One day the king said to his daughter, "You need to get a husband because you are now old enough." So she started to call single men to her kingdom so she could chose one of them. But none of them would suit her. Then one day she was lying in the grass by a river. And two men were across the river. And she said to them, "If you need a wife I am the one. Just go to the South Sea and get me the brightest Pearl." If you like Dragons, I recommend this book and it has about 20 other stories in it. But, this is the first one in it. The real book that this story is in Is called Usborne Dragon Stories.

Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes by Eleanor Coerr

Historical Fiction
In Japan there's a legend that says if a sick person folds 1,000 paper cranes, the gods will grant a wish and make them healthy again. My favorite part is when Chizuko gives Sadoko a golden crane. It's my favorite part because I like cranes. I recommend this book to anyone that likes history.
