Jeremy and the Dragon by Anne K. Edwards

Fantasy
Elvis says, "Don't cry it makes my flame blue. I hate it when my flame is blue." Jeremy tried to convince his bothers before his dad came in that they weren't allowed to argue while they ate. He leaned forward to tell them to stop laughing when something crunched in his pocket. He remembered the scales; a red one and a green one. He held them up and they gleamed in the reflection of the light. "They're scales from the dragons." he said with a happy grin.
